Classes (Pole)

What should I bring to class?

  • For Pole: Fitted shorts, tank top or sports bra, bare foot or heels. Bring knee pad and/or leg warmers (optional but helps with floor work).
  • For PoleSliks: Fitted shorts, quarter sleeve or long sleeve fitted top, bare foot. Anything that covers your armpit if this will be your first time.
  • For Lyra: Fitted shorts, tank top or sports bra, bare foot.
  • For Aerial Silks: Fitted leggings, tank top, bare foot or socks.
  • Do not wear lotion, oil nor any jewelry. Leave it at home!
  • Underwear or jean shorts are not acceptable or permitted!
  • iTac or Mighty Grip (Optional but can be purchased at studio).
  • Bring a bottle of water and towel. Always stay hydrated!!!
    • NOTE!!! Please no open bottles or coffee cups in the studio. Your beverage must be in a close non-spill container.
  • Any shoes worn in class must be strictly indoor shoes and not your street shoes. Please leave shoes outside in the hallway.

What type of shoes should I wear?

You can either go barefoot or use ballet slippers. We do not recommend heels until you have had a few classes or have taken our Heels class

Can I take Pole Tricks or Pole Dance as a first-time student?

Every new student MUST take an intro class in order to take Pole Dance or Pole Journey. And you MUST take 4-8 Pole Dance or Pole Journey before taking Pole Tricks with instructor approval.

When can I take Pole Tricks?

You MUST take 4-8 Pole Dance or Pole Journey before taking Pole Tricks with instructor approval. You should feel that you have mastered the moves and techniques you are taught in Pole Journey and/or Pole Dance before attempting to move onto more advanced skill leveled classes. If you move on before you are ready or attempt to perform moves your body isn’t conditioned for, you may at risk of injury. Every person’s experience will be unique and the learning curve is based upon the desire, commitment, and fitness level of each person. If you are unsure if you are ready to move onto a higher level class, please ask your instructor for an evaluation.

I've taken Pole Intro, now what can I take?

There are 2 classes you can continue to take. Pole Journey (strength building) or Pole Dance (faster pace with cardio). If you are unsure if you have the experience to move onto a higher level class, please ask your instructor for an evaluation.

I have experience or have taken pole before. Can I take Pole Tricks?

If you have experience with pole dancing, you’ll need approval from our instructor to join other pole classes. This involves either taking a test class to determine your appropriate level or providing videos demonstrating your pole skills. Please note that each studio’s class levels may vary, and we prioritize maintaining accurate levels for your safety.

Can I still take classes if I'm overweight?

It’s perfectly fine! It is a great way for anyone to gain confidence and learn how to dance regardless of your size. Every person’s experience will be unique and the learning curve is based upon the desire, commitment, and fitness level of each person.

Is there a weight limit for poles?

We use X-Pole brand poles. X-Pole does not have an official weight limit. We have had 2 dancers (250+lbs) on a single X-Pert, at 12 ft high, and it has been completely secure! The X-Pert poles are professional grade poles that are VERY stable. You can do the most advanced move/tricks on them. For our X-pole Stage, the limit is 250lb. These are used for performances and events.

Do you provide "partner" (2 people performing together) classes?

YES! we provide all types of partner classes. These classes include Pole, Lyra, Yoga, and Dance.

Do you have "Open Practice"?

Open practice aka “Playground” classes are for students only. It will be listed on the calendar if it is available. You can work on pole, aerial or any other fitness.

Are men allowed at the studio?

Men have been participating in the pole fitness community more and more so we welcome serious male fitness participants because pole dancing is a great way to build strength, power, endurance, & coordination which can be helpful for many athletic participants. You will see “Co-ed” next to a class if men are allowed. We also offer Private lessons and group privates. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist you!

I have a pole at home. Can you come here?

Yes, depending on location and availability we can come to you. Please Contact Us for more information.

Do you teach other pole types of classes?

Yes, we do. Take a look at all the pole classes we offer and we are always adding more.

What type of poles do you use?

We use 45mm Chrome Static/Spin poles from X-Pole USA and X-Pole Lite Stage. We do have one steel pole for sensitive users.

Will I be sharing a pole?

Yes, you might be sharing a pole with a fellow pole mate. At times, you might not and it depends on the class as well. Some classes there will only be one person per pole.

Can I bring a group of girls to your class?

For groups of 3+, please consider hosting a pole party. Check out our Pole Parties page where you can also find out about availability and types of paries.

Classes (FabPole)

What is a Silks with Pole class?

Also known as FabPole and PoleSilks. In this class we will be combing Silks training with Pole training TOGETHER into a single trick or spin. Visit our Class Info for more details about our varies Silks with Pole Classes.

Do I need to know pole to take this class?

Although it will help to have had some type of pole exposure. It is not necessary for Level 1. However, Level 2 & 3, you MUST have had Beginners-advance pole training.

What should I bring to class?

  1. Wear long sleeve fitted top. No sleeveless. Sleeves will make it easier to hold the silks for first-timers.
  2. Wear fitted spandex shorts. We do NOT recommend yoga pants/ tights. Underwear or jean shorts are not acceptable and you will not be able to participate!
  3. For Level 2 & 3, please wear proper covered shorts.
  4. Resin spray (Optional but can be purchased at studio). You may NOT use iTac or Mighty Grip on silks.
  5. Yoga mat.
  6. Bring a bottle of water and towel. Always stay hydrated!!! — NOTE!!! Please no open bottles or coffee cups in the studio. Your beverage must be in a close non-spill container.
  7. Do not wear lotion, oil nor any jewelry. No jewelry on on fingers, wrist, ears, neck, belly or fingernails to prevent the fabric from snagging or to prevent damage to the pole. You will be asked to take it off. Please leave it at home!!!
  8. Any shoes worn in class must be strictly indoor shoes and not your street shoes. Please leave shoes outside in the hallway.

What type of shoes should I wear?

No shoes are promitted for Silks and Pole. You can either go barefoot or use ballet slippers.

Is there a weight limit for FabPole/ PoleSilks?

FabPole fabric can safely be used up to 1000 lb. 225 pounds of force (Ibf). It is safe to use if you are 200+lb. However, you should plan to wear shorts and not yoga pants. For our curvy students, it’s a bit harder as the fabric is very stretchy and you would need to hold on more with your skin.

Classes (Aerial)

What should I wear and bring to Lyra class?

  • Sleeveless fitted top or sports bra. It will make it easier to hold the lyra with as much skin as possible. Please no bras!!
  • Pole shorts or fitted short (should not cover your thighs). Please wear proper covered shorts. Underwear or jean shorts are not acceptable or permitted!
  • iTac or Mighty Grip (Optional but can be purchased at studio)
  • Yoga mat
  • Bring a bottle of water and towel. Always stay hydrated!!!
  • Please do not wear lotion, oil or ANY jewelry to class.
  • Any shoes worn in class must be strictly indoor shoes and not your street shoes. Please leave shoes outside in the hallway.

Are the lyras taped?

No. Our lyra are not taped. Please make sure to bring fitted short. Yoga pants will make it very difficult to grip the bars.

Do I need to take 'Lyra Intro' if I'm taking 'Lyra Series'?

No, you do not. Lyra Intro is for students who can’t decide if Lyra is for them. This gives them a chance to test out this class before committing to a series. What you learn in this class, you will learn in Lyra series.

What if I need to miss a class in my Lyra series?

For your safety, our series are designed to help you learn each move that will help with the next class. By missing more then 1 class, you will be behind in the series. For our series policy, You may only retake one missed class and it must be taken the following Lyra “MakeUp” day. You can find this on our class calendar and make sure to schedule the date. If you do not schedule your retake class, you forfeit your missed class. No exceptions. No Transfer or refunds.

I have no experience. Is that ok?

Yes, it is ok. You will learn the basic of Lyra and work your way up.
